Dawn of Creation 1

This was created on the opposite side of the piece of glass. Multiple layers of  plastic epoxy resin were poured and swirled to look like enamel fired in a kiln. The liquid oozed as it dried and the definition of the figure became distorted. Multiple attempts to “fix” it resulted in many layers of this product being applied. After 16 hours of work, disappointment set in and the artist walked away disappointed. The next morning the glass was picked up and the paper laid onto the work table for protection was stuck to the back of the glass. When it was peeled off of the underside – this Miracle!

Description

“This piece is part of a silk screen series. This original piece was created on the back side of a piece of glass using plastic epoxy resin. The liquid material was swirled to look like enamel fired in a kiln. The prints were made by using the original piece as a template for a silkscreen print.” -Artist, Kathie Gallion
